May already? We are blasting through 2026! Compared to the last few months, things are a bit lighter, but there are still some releases worth keeping an eye on.

The Kai-sei universe continues to roll forward with its ongoing series, as Issue 10 has us quickly approaches the one-year mark. With that one-year milestone approaching I wonder if we will get a special annual issue?

Over at Boom! Studios, Power Rangers is hitting the reset button once again, kicking things off with a Free Comic Book Day Issue 0. We are curious to see how that series is handled and re-invented this time.

Dark Horse Comics brings something fresh to the table with Hidden Springs, a new series about ex-Hollywood retirees who discover a baby kaiju and attempt to protect it from the military. It’s a fun, unique story from Dark Horse Comics that could end up being a sleeper hit, like their Behemoth series from last year.

Speaking of sleepers, Toxic Super Beast Volume 3 is finally landing this month after a slight delay. This manga series continues to fly under the radar, which is wild considering how strong it’s been so far, it is definitely one I believe more people should be talking about.

While on the topic of manga we also have the debut of a new series called Dragon Circus with volume 0! Yes 0 that is something new to me when it comes to volumes but yes coming at 218 pages this book comes from the same creative team as the ULTRAMAN manga series writer Eiichi Shimizu and artist Tomohiro Shimoguchi. It tells the story of a world where the UN has to build a special team called "Dragonslayers" to respond to the rise of these giant monsters called "Dragons"! With a lineup that includes a vampire, a witch, a zombie ogre, an android, and a grade school “Ace Pilot,” it sounds like a fantasy-twisted Suicide Squad with kaiju chaos mixed in. Volume 1 drops in July the same day as the creative team's Star Wars Visions manga which is listed below so keep an eye out for those as well.

We’re also getting the latest entry in the Godzilla vs. America line with Godzilla vs. Texas, featuring a story and cover by Matt Frank, featuring his Neo Godzilla design. As a long time, follower and fan of Matt Frank's work I am excited to see the Neo design in action!
