About Us
The Maser Squad made up of two brothers, Daniel and Frank Laudato. In 2022, Dan approached Frank with the idea of starting a podcast focused on Tokusatsu and Kaiju films and TV shows. Frank jumped at the opportunity it's something he had wanted to do for years.
What began as a simple podcast quickly grew into something much bigger. The Maser Squad evolved into a full celebration of the fandom, covering not just Kaiju and Tokusatsu Movies and TV, but also toys, collectibles, and the ever-growing world of Kaiju themed comics. Supporting independent creators and shining a spotlight on the amazing talent within the community has become one of Dan and Frank's biggest passions.

The Maser Squad doesn't claim to be all knowing experts just superfans who love the genre and want to help the fandom grow, connect, and thrive. Through our content, interviews, and passion, we aim to help expand the world of Kaiju and Tokusatsu for the better!
Co-Founder Frank Laudato
Frank has been sharing his passion for Kaiju online since 2012, when he founded the website Godzilla Island, a Kaiju blog created with the same mission that the Maser Squad carries today: expanding the Kaiju and Tokusatsu fandom in the West. Frank built a strong following on social media with his @GodzillaIsland handle, which helped the Maser Squad launch successfully in 2022.
Outside of the Maser Squad, Frank is like any other '90s Kaiju kid. Born in 1989, he spent his childhood hunting for Kaiju movies at Blockbusters, Caldor or anywhere that sold VHS tapes. The Kaiju fandom was small then, and being the only "Godzilla kid" among his friends often felt lonely in the fandom. Luckily, he could share that passion with his brother Dan, thanks to their dad introducing them to Godzilla, Gamera, Gorgo and King Kong at an early age. As social media transformed fandom, Frank began connecting with other fans, and whether people liked it or not, Godzilla'98 and Godzilla 2000 sparked a resurgence in the U.S that eventually paved the way for Pacific Rim and the Legendary MonsterVerse.
Outside of Kaiju, Frank works as a manager for an IT contractor company that maintains school districts' computer systems. He lives with his wife, son and daughter.

Co-Founder Daniel Laudato
Daniel (Dan) had been dabbling in Youtube content creation for years before launching the Maser Squad with Frank. He found some success with videos covering specialty Star Wars books, retro video game collecting, and DIY Mods, which eventually led him into physical media collecting and ultimately, films. When Dan began collecting movies Kaiju & Tokusatsu films were a major part of it. He would create unboxings, deep diving into special features, and detailed analysis videos on Blu-rays, DVDs, and more. This rekindled his passion for the genre and inspired him ask Frank to join him in creating a Podcast.
Since then, Dan has served as the lead editor of every show and a majority of the channel's content. Without his broad knowledge of editing, cinema and everything in between, the Maser Squad wouldn't exist. Outside of the show, Dan works as a manager of a Radiology Department at a very large hospital and lives with his wife, son and daughter.
