June 2026 Kaiju & Tokusatsu Themed Book, Comic & Manga Releases

June already! The last month of Q2 2026! Can you believe we are already almost halfway through the year? Anyway, though this month is a pinch lighter than usual on the releases that doesn't mean there isn't anything big.

To kick the month off we see the finale to Marvel's Godzilla Infinity Roar with issue 5, as well as Godzilla Issue 11 where we will see Godzilla face off against the Kai-sei version of Biollante. We will also see Godzilla's Monsterpiece Theatre return with a one-shot take on The Odyssey beating Christopher Nolan to the remake to the punch by a month! The first volume of Kai-sei trade paperback will be dropping as well so if you missed out out on Godzilla Volume 1, Starship Godzilla, or Godzilla: Escape the Deadzone you can pick those series up!

Additionally on the comic front is MegaGhost issue 3 this is a series I picked up recently from Dark Horse that is actually a direct continuation of the Albatross comic's MegaGhost from 2018 it has been 6 years and the story of MegaGhost returns. MegaGhost follows a young boy Martin Magus who is fascinated by the occult one day he finds a mysterious ring that grants him the ability to summon MegaGhost a supernatural mech that is created when three ghosts combine to battle UltraGhoul's evil monster of the week! It has a very Saturday Morning feel and is such a fun read. After recently discovering the original 2018 run I find it insane that it took all these years for the series to come back and continue. You can dive in with Dark Horse's issue 1 but I recommend picking up the Albatross paperback and reading that prior as this is a continuation and the origin story was not covered in this Dark Horse run so far as it does seem to be a true continuation a Volume 2 if you will.

After that the GOAT returns with the GAEA-TIMA The Gigantis Volume 4 manga! Such an incredible series if you haven't read it yet you are missing out on one of the greatest Kaiju stories EVER. The other manga to check out this month is Cosmic Censorship volume 4 and interesting series still just getting started but there are giant monsters/aliens and some cool mech armed warriors from another timeline.
