July is here and what a month it is! Not only is it mark the start of Q3 2026, but also the start of three new Godzilla series and the finale to the first year and second story arc of the Kai-sei era Godzilla series.

We’re currently in the midst of a Kaiju indie comic boom, with creators from all overturning to platforms like Kickstarter to share their amazing work. We had the chance to sit down with Blake McCarthy, creator of the Territory series, and Steven Prince, creator of Monster Matador.

It has been a very long while since we’ve done one of these release lists. Frank used to do this quarterly on Godzilla Island, and we would also do weekly Shorts covering new releases. For now, we’re going to try a monthly list, so here it is! These are the first Kaiju & Tokusatsu–themed books, comics, and manga kicking off the new year.
