In this video review, Dan & Frank take a look at Notzilla (2019), a Godzilla/kaiju parody film that pleasantly surprised us with its humor and charm. This comedy kaiju movie is full of clever gags, recurring jokes, and fun nods to classic 1950s sci-fi and monster films.

From start to finish, we thoroughly enjoyed how the film balances absurdity while paying homage to the giant monster genre. If you’re a fan of kaiju or just looking for a lighthearted monster movie, Notzilla is worth checking out. You can stream it on Tubi or other platforms, and it’s also a great addition to any collector’s physical media library. Comedy can be subjective, but if you come in with an open mind and a love for cheesy, silly gags, you’ll really appreciate the work put into this film. The way the film ends it does leave it open for a sequel which we would absolutely love to see but I don't think it will happen maybe as a comic if anything.
Additionally, if you are a fan of the film, you can also enjoy a comic/graphic novel adaptation written by Mitch Teemley, the director and creator of Notzilla. This fun, quirky take on the story is a perfect companion to the movie and plays out exactly like the film. You can grab your copy directly from Antarctic Press: Get the Notzilla Comic
