Movie Appearances: Ultraman Episode 4 “Five Seconds Before the Explosion”

Ragon is a humanoid sea monster that walks upright like a human. Ragon’s appearance is very similar to the Creature from the Black Lagoon green, fish-like, and covered in scales. It has fins on its back and arms, and its feet resemble flippers.

Ragon first appeared in Ultraman Episode 4, where a nuclear explosion in the ocean caused a creature to mutate into this giant aquatic kaiju. Ragon can breathe underwater and fire a powerful radioactive breath.

During its battle with Ultraman, Ragon gave him a tough fight mainly because Ultraman was distracted trying to prevent another nuclear explosion. In the end, Ultraman defeated Ragon with his power beam, sending the creature falling back into the ocean. It’s unknown whether Ragon survived.
