Miclas is one of the strangest-looking kaiju in the Ultraman universe. It stands on two legs and has four prominent horns on its head, giving it an instantly recognizable silhouette. Miclas is one of Ultraseven’s capsule monsters, summoned when Dan Moroboshi is unable to transform.

Despite its awkward appearance, Miclas is an incredibly powerful and durable monster. It possesses immense physical strength, largely due to its high muscle composition, allowing it to lift and grapple enemies that can weigh several times more than itself. Miclas can also jump extremely high and fire heat beams from its mouth to attack opponents at range.

Miclas was first deployed by Ultraseven to battle Eleking. During the fight, Miclas put up a surprisingly strong effort and managed to hold its own for a time. However, after being shocked repeatedly by Eleking’s electrical attacks, Miclas was forced to retreat back into its capsule.

Miclas was later used again against the ice monster Gandar. Once more, Miclas fought valiantly in a prolonged battle but eventually had to retreat after being struck by Gandar’s powerful ice beam.

Miclas may technically have a losing record, but it should not be underestimated. Miclas is a true tank, capable of absorbing significant punishment and keeping enemies occupied for extended periods of time. Both times Miclas was summoned occurred when Dan Moroboshi had lost his Ultra Eye and could not become Ultraseven. In each case, Miclas successfully bought Dan valuable time to recover the Ultra Eye and rejoin the fight as Ultraseven.

While Miclas often retreats rather than wins outright, its endurance, strength, and loyalty make it one of Ultraseven’s most dependable allies. Miclas has since appeared in multiple Ultra series, continuing to prove its worth as a reliable support monster.
