Appearance: Ultra Q (TV Show), Ultraman X and Ultraman Z

M1 is a man-sized, ape-like creature and an artificial life form created by a scientist. Originally a gel-like organism, M1 underwent a chemical reaction when exposed to a camera flash, rapidly growing into its awkward ape-like form.

M1 does not possess any special powers, but it has the intelligence of a human, making it much smarter than it initially appears. During the episode, M1 causes a brand-new bullet train to crash but saves a boy who snuck onboard by hiding in the train’s safe. The safe is launched into space when the train crashes, and M1 survives alongside the boy. M1 was last seen orbiting Earth with the boy, and their fate has not been revealed since.

The creature later made appearances in Ultraman X and Ultraman Z, connecting this classic Ultra Q kaiju to the broader Ultraman universe.
