Monster Name: Kiko
Monster Appearances: Son of Kong
Kiko, the albino son of the legendary King Kong, is a large, white-furred gorilla who stands around 12 feet tall. He’s not nearly as massive as his father, but he’s still a powerful creature in his own right. When Carl Denham returned to Skull Island, he discovered Kiko trapped in a quicksand pit and rescued him creating a bond between the two.
Kiko’s biggest battle was against a massive cave bear roughly equal to his size. Using his wits, Kiko grabbed a fallen tree limb and used it as a makeshift club, ultimately chasing the bear off. He later fought a Nothosaurus inside a hidden temple on Skull Island. That fight was brief, ending with Kiko landing a decisive knockout punch.
Tragedy struck soon after. As Skull Island began to sink into the ocean, Kiko and Denham climbed to higher ground. Falling rocks trapped Kiko’s foot in a fissure. Unable to escape, he held Denham above the rising water, sacrificing himself so Denham could survive. Kiko drowned as the island slipped beneath the waves.
Compared to his father, Kiko was gentle, playful, and sometimes a bit goofy, but also surprisingly thoughtful during combat. In many ways he seemed more intelligent than Kong, analyzing his battles and using tools more often. Had he survived into adulthood, Kiko might have become even more formidable than his father
a true future king of Skull Island.
