Monster Name: Goro

Movie Appearance: Ultra Q (TV Series)

Goro is a giant monkey who became enormous after eating chemically enhanced walnuts that were created during World War II. These walnuts were originally designed to increase the strength of soldiers in combat, but when Goro an ordinary monkey consumed them, the result was extreme and uncontrollable growth.

Despite his size, Goro possesses no supernatural powers. His abilities are purely physical exceptional strength, agility, and the capability to leap great distances, all amplified by his massive scale.

Goro lived peacefully with his caretaker, a mute man named Goroh, who raised him in a mountain village. When Goroh was arrested for stealing food to feed his oversized companion, Goro went on a small rampage through a nearby city searching for him. The military and authorities mistook his confusion for aggression and used sedatives to subdue him.

Eventually, Goro was transported to an isolated island where another giant ape had been discovered. Although Goro has not appeared again in the Ultra series, it’s believed that he continues to live peacefully alongside the other giant monkey on the island.
