Monster Name: Gorbagos

Gorbagos is a rock-bodied kaiju with an incredible chameleon like ability to camouflage itself so effectively that it can turn completely invisible. Along with stealth, this nocturnal monster can burrow underground and launch fireballs from its mouth. At night it becomes fiercely aggressive, but during the day it’s sluggish, peaceful, and prefers to hide rather than fight if disturbed.

Gorbagos was discovered by accident when Jiro, a friend of Go (Ultraman Jack), snapped a photo that unknowingly captured the invisible monster in the background. For reasons unknown, Gorbagos’s invisibility doesn’t work against high-speed cameras, allowing MAT to confirm the threat. When Go investigated that night, he found Gorbagos attacking a party in the woods.

MAT returned the next morning but had trouble finding the creature until they finally spotted it perfectly camouflaged against the mountain cliffs. When fired upon, Gorbagos simply walked away and vanished again. The following day, MAT came prepared spraying Gorbagos with paint to stop its camouflage. This only enraged it, sending the monster into a violent rampage. Ultraman Jack intervened, and after a tough battle, defeated Gorbagos with the Specium Ray.

Gorbagos likely lived quietly in the mountain valley for years, sleeping during the day. The rise in loud late-night gatherings may have disrupted its hibernation and triggered its nighttime aggression. Under different circumstances, MAT might have relocated it but its danger level made that impossible.
