Monster Name: Gabora

Appearance: Ultraman Episode 9, Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero Episode 5, Shin-Ultraman

Gabora is a subterranean kaiju covered in thick armored plates that protect its face and head. It primarily moves on all fours but can rise onto its hind legs when needed. Gabora opens its armor plates only when feeding, revealing a monstrous, flower-like head.

This creature has the ability to burrow underground, often causing landslides and destruction wherever it travels. Gabora feeds on uranium, which grants it the power to fire radioactive energy beams from its mouth.

Gabora battled Ultraman but was ultimately defeated. During their fight, Ultraman tore off several of Gabora’s protective armor plates, causing the creature to bleed heavily and tire quickly. With Gabora weakened, Ultraman delivered a fatal finishing blow.

Gabora later returned in Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero, where it once again fed on uranium near a mining site. Its appetite for radiation made it dangerously unstable, forcing Ultraman Powered to fight it and destroy it with his Mega Spacium Beam.

Gabora again reappeared in Shin Ultraman as one of the early kaiju threats humanity faced. The Shin version maintained its burrowing ability, but this time the armor plates also functioned like a massive drill when closed, allowing it to tunnel and attack with even greater destructive power.
