Gabara is a monster that roams Monster Island looking for opportunities to bully Minilla. Gabara has a humanoid body covered in rough, bulbous scales, with a face resembling a cat and a single horn on its head. Its only known ability is the power to channel electricity through its body, allowing it to electrocute anything it touches.

Gabara made its sole appearance in Godzilla’s Revenge, where all the monster scenes take place within young Ichiro’s dreams. In the film, Ichiro is bullied by a boy named Gabara, and the kaiju Gabara represents that same bullying spirit within his imagination. Throughout the dream, Gabara torments Minilla until Ichiro encourages Minilla to stand up for themself — ultimately leading to Gabara’s defeat.

After losing to Minilla, Gabara angrily attacks Godzilla but is swiftly overpowered. Since Godzilla’s Revenge, Gabara has not appeared in another live-action film, leaving fans to wonder if the monster was ever real or merely a creation of Ichiro’s mind.
