Movie/TV Appearances: Ultraman – Episode 1: “Ultra Operation #1”

Bemular is a kaiju that walks on two legs and resembles a large reptilian creature. Its body design closely resembles that of an alligator or crocodile, with sharp spikes running from the top of its head down its back. One of Bemular’s most distinct features is its long rear teeth that jut out like tusks.

Bemular can unleash a powerful blue fiery breath from its mouth, similar to Godzilla’s iconic atomic breath, and can survive underwater for extended periods of time. In Ultraman’s very first episode, “Ultra Operation #1,” Bemular is pursued to Earth by Ultraman and crash-lands in a lake, where their battle continues.

While Bemular may have been designed to appeal to Godzilla fans with its reptilian design and fiery breath it still stands out as a memorable kaiju in its own right. The “fire-breathing spiky lizard from space” makes for a fitting and fun first opponent for Ultraman.
